Background : This study aims to determine the effect of mixing kerosene in the premium on emissions of carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur oxides (SOX) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) from two-wheeled vehicles.
Metods: The method used in this study is a research field, which conducted the experiment in a certain time limit on emissions of CO, NOx and Sox motorcycle with a variation of the fuel mix used in laboratory scale. As the object of this study is the emission of CO, NOx and Sox from motorcycle (type 4 steps) with a mixture of kerosene in the premium as a fuel. Independent variables (independent variables): the concentration of fuel (fuel oil) and kerosene mixture varied premium, kerosene 0%, 5% kerosene, 10% kerosene, 15% kerosene, 20% kerosene in cold engine conditions related to panas.Variabel (dpendent variables): the parameters studied are CO gas. tools used in this study is Combution Analyzer (Systronix), a tool to measure emissions.
Result : Research results obtained from the data that the larger the addition of kerosene into the premium will be generated exhaust emissions of carbon monoxide (CO) is the greater,. As well as sulfur oxides (SOX), but for the exhaust emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) which has not changed much concentration.
